Richmond Hill Attic Insulation Rebate Extended to March 2027

Richmond Hill homeowners have a few extra months to cut their heating costs. Enbridge Gas announced on October 27, 2026 that the Richmond Hill attic insulation rebate, part of Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program, will now run until March 31, 2027 instead of November 30, 2026.

Why Your Attic Matters

Heat rises, and in many homes the attic is where it escapes. Whether you live near Mill Pond, in Oak Ridges or around Bayview Hill, topping up thin or settled insulation is one of the simplest ways to keep a home warmer in winter.

What You Can Get Back

The standalone attic stream refunds 50% of your insulation cost after tax. The maximum is $1,250 for a standard attic and $750 for a flat roof or cathedral ceiling, with no energy assessment needed.

Eligibility Requirements

Your attic must currently fall below the program’s R-value thresholds and be upgraded to at least R-50 by a participating contractor. If your home already received an attic insulation rebate from Enbridge, Save on Energy or another Ontario program, it won’t qualify again. Use the attic insulation eligibility quiz to check.
